Craniosacral Therapy (CST)

Craniosacral therapy aims to:

Enhance the body's immune response
Reduce pain
Enhance relaxation

CST is an important adjunct to MFR, allowing the body to heal to its full potential.

CST is gently and hands-on, the therapist will assess and evaluate the functioning of the craniosacral system. This is the assessment of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surrounds and protects the brain and spinal cord. Balancing the cranio-sacral motion can allow the body to heal to its full potential. It allows the release of deeply held patterns of disease that accumulate during our lifetime.

How Does Craniosacral therapy work:

Craniosacral therapy involves a gentle touch of the cranium and sacrum to diagnose and treat. The light contact will identify subtle disturbances to the free motion of the body's tissue, circulation of the body's fluid and the unrestricted flow of fundamental energy and vitality.

The vitality is expressed in the body as a rhythmic motion felt like a pulse throughout the body. This is known as the cranio-sacral motion, the therapist can use this motion to find obstructions and source of stress within the body. By gently removing the restrictions which lye within the cranio-sacral motion will help to restore a healthy balanced state within the central nervous system.

Craniosacral therapy can be combined with other manual therapies to help restore the body to the optimal state of health.
